Berry Mysterious

It seems that we here at the Ministry of Obvious Puns are in urgent need of your collective wisdom. To wit: what are these berries? They came in the CSA delivery last week, and I don't have a clue.

I think the tiny red ones are lingonberries. I have no clue about the other ones. Help please!

Red currants and gooseberries - I am (intimately) familiar with both:)

definitely red currant (and a variant that is white/pale) and gooseberries.
My parents have both in their garden and the pictures make me instantly homesick.
The pale ones are my favorite.

Going with gooseberries here too!
Though, they're usually green here. Are they just underripe?

They look like gooseberries. Lucky!

definitely currants - they're pretty common over here in Germany. They're a bit tart, but taste REALLY yummy with something sweet like vanilla ice cream

Red and white currants, definently. they're not as bitter as their black relatives. I like them pure,
but if they seem to sour for your taste, just dip them in some sugar :D

You can also make a nice cake from them (or yummy jam, if you have a larger quantity).

Common here in Europe, I'm really surprised that they're not native in North America.

I'd love to replace my black currant bush with a red one. They are much sweeter.

If you ever have an excessive amount, they have a ton of pectin and make great jam. Currant and rhubarb is our favourite and you don't have to add any pectin to make it set.

yup, currants and gooseberries... we don't see them very often around here, and I've thought that it was because we had so many other berry choices... strawberries, raspberries, marionberries, loganberries, blueberries, boysenberries, blackberries... but I'm always interested in trying more...*grin*
