Etsy Thoughts
The Etsy thing has been pretty amazing, I must say. I am so very flattered that so many of you were impressed enough with my Little Kitchen to actually buy the plans I made. I've been asking everyone who bought them to send me a pic of the end result, and as soon as I get them I will certainly post them here. I can't wait to see what people make!
Of course, my own response to this has been, "Ok, what next?" because I am a perpetual neck-craner. Excelsior*, and all that. :) I am going to try out the idea that I originally wanted to work on for Etsy - custom-made stencil portraits in various media. I've made several so far:
and I'm working on another, from one of my current favorite photos. For sale, I would offer people the option of various media and ask them to send me a digital or hard copy photo to work from. What do you think? Workable idea?

Everything on your blog is just pure awesomeness; of course I'd buy one! You're a rockstar!
Congratulations on your Etsy success! It's great to know that people are willing to put their money where their mouth is, and it is a truly brilliant idea well executed!
So too, I predict, will your stencil idea. Beautiful work.
*** I've lurked on your blog for a while. You post a nice balance of family, craft, and all else. Thank you for your inspiration. :) ***
I would definitely buy one! I can think of a few photos that would look good as a stencil... I would love it on some type of canvas I can hang. I'll keep checking back to see if you go ahead with it!
I've LOVED your Craftster avatar since I first saw your felt alphabet book write-up.
This is a great idea! You'd want to offer some guidelines for people trying to choose an appropriate photo.
This would make a great Christmas present, so hurry up and up list it already.
Hey, you are an inspiration - what an hononr and an endorsement! I am very proud of you!
I just found your site and LOVE it. You have some great ideas. I would definitely be interested in something like this for Christmas.
I saw really much worthwhile data above!
